Privacy policy

ReadyChime is a family signaling, location, and pickup-coordination service. This policy describes what we collect and how it is used.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and household name.
• Early-list information: the email address and optional ZIP code you submit when asking to hear when ReadyChime reservations open, along with signup details. If you answer the optional follow-up survey, we also store your intended use, the child age you choose to provide, and whether you are open to a short interview.
• Recipient information: the names and phone numbers of the trusted contacts you add to your household.
• Service activity: button presses, notification and delivery history, and device telemetry (such as battery level) from your pickup button.
• Location from a ReadyChime button only when the household explicitly enables location sharing. The pickup request is sent before the button performs its limited location search; ReadyChime does not continuously track the button.
• Deposit information: payment status, amount, checkout email, and the Stripe identifiers needed to reconcile or refund an early-interest deposit. ReadyChime does not receive or store full card numbers.

How we use it

We use household, service, and early-list information to run the service and provide updates you request: delivering pickup notifications and reminders to contacts who have verified their number, showing you your own household's history, sending ReadyChime reservation and product updates to the early list, learning which product uses matter most to families, contacting people who volunteer for a short interview, and keeping the service reliable and secure. We do not use household information, children's information, device locations, or your form answers for advertising. Advertising measurement on our public website is described separately below.

Text messaging

Phone numbers are used solely to deliver the notifications described above, and only after the contact confirms a one-time verification code. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies with button activity.

Sharing

We share information with vendors that host and deliver the service (application hosting, Tally for early-list forms, SMS delivery, and Stripe for payment processing if you later make a reservation payment), and website measurement providers (Plausible and Ahrefs), as needed to operate and improve it. We also share the limited website advertising information described below with Reddit.

Website analytics

Plausible helps us understand visits to our public pages, which parts of the demo people try, and whether the early-list form loads and is submitted. We do not send Plausible form answers, email addresses, device locations, account activity, or private-page URLs. We do not use session replay or identified visitor profiles for this measurement.

Plausible does not store cookies or a visitor identifier in your browser. It uses connection information, including your IP address and browser information, to count visitors without recognizing them across days. Our Plausible integration honors Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser settings.

Advertising and your privacy choices

We use the Reddit Pixel on our public landing and early-list pages to understand whether our Reddit ads lead to signups and to improve ad delivery. It reports page visits and a completed-signup event only after our embedded Tally form confirms success.

Unlike our Plausible setup, the Reddit Pixel uses cookies and identifiers for advertising attribution. Reddit receives browser and connection information, public-page URLs, referrer information, and advertising identifiers, such as a Reddit ad click ID. We do not provide email addresses, phone numbers, form answers, or children's information to the pixel, and automatic email and phone matching are turned off. We do not load it on account, device, location, SMS-response, or payment-confirmation pages, or for logged-in users.

Our integration does not load the Reddit Pixel when Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track is enabled, or after you opt out below. This choice applies to future tracking in this browser; it does not delete information already received by Reddit. Learn more in Reddit's privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Household data is kept while your account is active. Early-list email addresses are kept while we provide the requested reservation updates. To remove your email, delete your account and its data, or ask any privacy question, contact contact@readychime.com.
